There has been a few BBC things about maps. Radio 4 had a series about maps and so did BBC4. Both are worth checking out if you have an interest in maps.
Take a look at this Absolut Vodka ad for the Mexican market which depicts a map of the borders between the USA and Mexico before the war in the second half on the 1800′s. This caused quite a stir, but it is a fact in the History books.

Did you know that some people in the southern hemisphere are not happy about being at the bottom of the map! I guess they have a point, why should it be that way around? But it looks odd to me having always seen Europe in the middle and at the top.
